Week 2: Renewing Your Mind
Download Week 2 Outline here
Although our spirits have been made into a new creation, our minds (which is part of our soul) needs renewing. We are thinking beings and every choice we make affects us in a negative or a positive way. This session is based on the teaching of 2 Corinthians 10:3-6. In this session, they learn that the renewing of their does not happen automatically. It ls an intentional process of using God’s weapons (the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, and the word of God) to knock down the thoughts which come into our minds. To capture every thought that is not in line with God’s heart and make those thoughts obedient to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:3-6
We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. 4 We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.
